Showing Up for the People of Illinois
Over the past seven days, Bob Fioretti has continued doing what he has done throughout this campaign: showing up. From a debate in Jonesboro, IL, to the Taste of Polonia, the Maria SS. Lauretana Celebration, the Frankfort Parade, Chicago’s Mexican Independence Day Parade in Little Village, Sandwich Fest, a Get Behind the Vest pancake breakfast in the 23rd Ward, radio interviews, and today’s debate in Charleston, IL, Bob has been traveling across Illinois, meeting people where they live, work, worship, celebrate, and raise their families.
These photos tell that story. They represent miles traveled, hands shaken, questions answered, and communities heard. They also represent the people who keep this campaign moving: Volunteers. Supporters. Families. First responders. Small-business owners. Farmers. Parents. Seniors. Workers. Caregivers.
Bob has walked with communities against violence, listened to farmers in rural counties, met with parents from public, private, and homeschool communities, visited churches and fire stations, and heard from families caring for elderly loved ones.
Road trip by road trip. County by county. Conversation by conversation.
This is the campaign Bob believes in. The financial resources in this race are uneven, in part because Bob will not build his campaign around contributions from special interests whose financial interests could conflict with the responsibilities of the Attorney General’s Office, including utilities and other powerful entities the office may be called upon to challenge. That may make fundraising harder. Bob believes independence matters more.
The Attorney General should be accountable to the people of Illinois and willing to answer questions about public safety, consumer and elder fraud, public corruption, utility costs, and the SAFE-T Act. Bob is doing exactly that.
Diligence in Public Service

Diligence is exactly what this campaign looks like. Bob will keep getting in the car. Keep walking into communities. Keep listening. Keep answering questions. Keep working. Because leadership is not just about having the resources to reach people. It is about having the commitment to meet them.
For nearly a year, Illinoisans have welcomed Bob into their communities and told him what they expect from their next Attorney General. Those conversations are what keep this campaign moving.
Bob’s vision is simple: an Attorney General’s Office that protects consumers and victims, confronts corruption, remains accessible to the public, and remembers who public service is supposed to serve. The people of Illinois.
The road continues. And Bob will keep showing up.
