We are in crunch time.
Dear Friend,
We are in crunch time. Momentum is on our side, and victory is within reach. This campaign is close to making history. Our message that the Attorney General is the people's lawyer, and not the Governor's, of supporting law enforcement for a change, of the need to eliminate/reform the SAFE-T Act, and to bring real accountability to the government of Illinois has resonated in every corner of our state.
None of this could have happened without you. I am so grateful for the faith you have shown me by donating to my campaign. Your generosity has inspired me to work even harder to run the kind of campaign you can be proud to contribute to.
As we near the finish line, I need you one more time. I am currently running a television ad, which you will find attached.
Since March, I have been telling you about the "30% rule," which is an Illinois Republican Party article of faith that if a statewide candidate gets 30% or more of the vote in Cook County, they will win statewide. Given that, I made a substantial buy of commercial airtime to run this commercial in the Chicago media market.
As important as the "30% rule" is, I know that a vote in central or southern Illinois counts the same as a vote from the northern part of the state. That's why I have spent the past year campaigning in virtually every county in the state. From Cairo to Crystal Lake, from Belvidere to Belleville, I brought my message of supporting victims over criminals, citizens over illegal aliens, parents over teacher unions, honest taxpayers over corrupt politicians, and consumers over greedy utility companies to the voters.
This is the message of my television ad. I need your help to play this ad on every television in every media market. Every dollar I raise online before noon on Friday will be used to show this ad to voters from Galena to Golconda.
